As a brand Ambassador for Ash and Elm Textiles, when I saw this amazing stretch Sweatshirt Fleece available to sew, I raised my hand quickly!!

Orginally, I desired the Sweatshirt Fleece fabric for Little Dude, however there was a set back. Little Dude has sensory sensitivites and he is VERY particular in the fabrics he will wear. When this super soft Sweatshirt Fleece (available right now in many colors for pre-oreder here) from Ash and Elm Textiles arrived in the mail, he was in smitten!! He immediately said, “make this into Pajamas for me”!! He was so excited!!
Then….. I messed up!! I grabbed the Heidi and Finn All You Need Pajamas Sewing Pattern, here, I already had printed out. Which is an amazing sewing pattern, since it has SO many options in one sewing pattern. The problem with all of the different options is I accidently grabbed the tapered leg pajamas sewing pattern instead the lounge style pants. I did not realized this until the fabric was already cut and I started to sew up the pant legs. Not only does Little Dude have sensitities to fabric, he also does like tight clothing. Luckily, Baby Girl is a similar size.
So, once again, Baby Girl got a new outfit. She loves these pants. She loves how they are soft and comfy! I will placing a pre-order for more sage French Terry, here, so Little Dude can get his pj pants. I will have to buy extra fabric for me as well, because this Sweatshirt Fleece fabric is really really soft and it is compiant for use with children.
If you know me in real life, you know I like things that match. Matching makes me so happy. I had some more gorgeous sage Sweatshirt Fleece Fabric leftover, so I made Baby Girl a matching top. I used my go to, The Going Home Sweater sewing pattern, here, by Ellie and Mac. I used the tunic length for the top, so it would extend the length of time Baby Girl could wear the top. They also have a matching women’s Going Home Sweater sewing pattern, here.
The pink sparkly velvety fabric is from my stash. I purchased the fabric from Joann’s a long time ago.
