I made Baby Girl’s dress from an adorable cat double brushed polyester from So Sew English fabrics. Isn’t it cute? They actually have some in stock right now here! Hurry! She also has a pair of leggings in this fabric, however I thought that might be a little much. Maybe? I have been hoarding this cat fabric for awhile!! In fact, I still have quite a bit of fabric left. Would you like to win a yard? Sign up at the end of the post!
One of her latest favorite things is this pink cat stuffed animal. It is part of a Doc Mcstuffins Vet Carrier set. She loves to carry her little cat around. She has been hit or his miss with wearing dresses, but she is actually starting to like them more as she gets older. So, that day she happened to playing a lot with her little pink cat. I had a great idea! I told her, her cat would probably love for her to wear a cat dress to match her. She fell for it and loved the idea. The only problem with my brilliant idea was…
She did not want to put her cute little kitty cat down for any of the pictures. I usually try to get pictures without any distractions. However when photographing toddlers, I have found sometimes they work with you and sometimes you have to work really hard to get a photo. In my previous posts, I have given a little advice on taking photos of toddlers. My best advice is just to let them play and capture them playing. Bribery is now starting to work with her too. LOL. She will now say, “Put camera down, Mommy.” So now, I can as her to “stand over here and smile and I will put it down”. Those pictures are not as usually as good as the pictures where she is playing though.
Real smiles are always the best!! There were a few times she put her pink kitty cat down, but it was so she could pull her around in the wagon, hello wagon…
Just look at that dress though! I just love it! The Sweetie dress sewing pattern will definitely be a staple in our wardrobe! I am currently working on a Christmas tunic version. I am so excited. It is a super fast sew too! Now when she finally did put her kitty cat down, she kept running from me, so I took lots of pictures of the back of the dress for you. LOL!
