Welcome to my stop on the Sewing by Ti Spring Into Color Blog Tour! I know many people follow the rules of suggested pantone colors for the season, however, I have never been much of a rule follower myself.  You can see Spring 2018 Spring Pantone colors list here.  Although I do like many of the colors on the list for Spring this year.  I have already used a few of the color without even realizing they were on the list.

For example, my lace overlay French Terry top and shorts in what pantone calls Arcadia:

Or Baby Girls Be Dreamy Dress is a similar color to the Blooming Dahlia color on the Pantone list.

Then there was Baby Girl’s lace overlay top with matching lace leggings in a color similar to Spring Crocus on the Pantone list.

I have a blog post coming soon with some fabric similar to the Little Boy Blue color and I love the harbor mist and pink lavender.  However, I could do without the Lime Punch.  Soft pale yellow is more of my style, however, I have found extremely difficult to find a pale yellow knit fabric.  Let me know if you know of some!

Since, I am not quite the rule follower, today I am going to share with you outfit which is not in the Spring 2018 Pantone color list.  I tend to choose colors that I like, more than colors people suggest I should like.  Actually, you may have already seen this version of the Rebecca Page Portia Party dress.  This time, we took it to the beach and Baby Girl used it as swimsuit cover up.

I just love his pink and wine ombre fabric from Simply By Ti Fabrics.  Any thoughts on what I should make with this fabric for myself?  I have a little over a yard left I believe.

The pink and wine ombre fabric is double brushed polyester.  It is so so soft!  Go buy some here before she runs out! Baby Girl wore it over her Giraffe swimsuit.  She picked out the gold sparkly sunglasses herself!

I adore that she is really starting to get into fashion and choose what she wants to wear.  My son still prefers me to pick out his clothes for him most days, but not Baby Girl.  Baby Girl is starting to pick out her own clothes and fabrics.  This is one she definitely loves.

Did I mention the Rebecca Page Portia Party dress sewing pattern has a free and a full paid version?  I have the full version and it is such a fun dress!  It was quick to make as well.
