Did you grab the Sierra Dress on sale yesterday for only $1? No? Well hurry, I just looked and the sale is still active and go snatch it up here. The sewing pattern is a lot of fun and a great scrap buster. You may remember my last Sierra dress here.
Now… let’s talk about that fabric!!!
As mentioned above, the fabric is a sneak peek of some of the fabrics available in October’s Modern Makers Fabric Box by Cotton Cuts. Anna Maria Horner is the featured designer this month with her lovely Passion Flower Fabric Collection. Baby Girl, as I am sure anyone who follows my blog knows, loves the pink butterflies! I told her I was making her a butterfly dress and the first question she asked was if there were any pink butterflies. Love this girl!
Exciting news for my fellow Sewing and Quilting Influencers!! Cotton Cuts will be doing a call for Brand Ambassadors Coming Soon! In soon, I mean in the next couple of days. So, go follow the Cotton Cuts Instagram page, HERE, so you do not miss the announcement. The applications will only be open for a short period of time. I can tell you the fabrics are going to be gorgeous!!! A more detailed announcement will follow on how I know this ;).
Also, one quick question. My sewing machine and I were having a disagreement while making the Sierra dress. I think it is about time, she goes in for a little service. So, I taught myself how to gather with my serger! Yes, my serger. I had heard people rave about it before, however I admit, I was a bit scared. I am not sure why I waited so long. It was so easy!! I am NEVER EVER going back! So, my question is… Would you like me to make a video tutorial on how to show you to gather with a serger? I am been toying with adding some sewing videos, but I just need some encouragement to do so. Let me know in the comments below!
