Well, I made Baby Girl another Strawberry Shortcake outfit! When Baby Girl first saw the Strawberry Shortcake Inspired Fabric, she immediately asked for one of her twirly dresses, aka the Daisy Dress I made her here.   I originally wanted to make her some matching leg warmers, just like I did for Rapunzel Ballet Outfit here.  Baby Girl had other ideas.

Luckily I had some extra fabric left over.  I do not like any fabric going to waste.  Grab this Strawberry Shortcake Inspired Fabric today, as tomorrow is the last day of the preorder.  Go grab it here!

Since I had lengthened the bodice, her Daisy dress was too long, you would not be able to see her leg warmers under the dress anyways.  Baby Girl insisted she needed footed tights, just like Strawberry Shortcake wears.  So, I purchased The Wolf and Tree Abby’s Footed Tights Sewing Pattern and tried them out.  You may find them here.

I am always a little nervous trying a new pattern, especially if I have never sewn anything similar before.  However, I pleasantly surprised how quick and easy the Abby’s Footed Tights Sewing Pattern were to sew.  I did make the size up than Baby Girl would normally wear, as I would for her to wear them throughout the winter months coming.   Baby Girl is showing me here Passe Position in the above picture.  She is really enjoying ballet.

Honestly, I am not sure which she likes more, gymnastics or ballet?  She actually tells me both!  Of course, I used the Honeydew Kisses Ocotillo Leotard Sewing Pattern. You may find it here.  It is so easy to make, plus I love the skirted option.  I used some stretch mesh from Joann Fabric for the skirt.  You may find it here.   The stretch mesh is so soft and not scratchy like tulle.

Hi I'm Lo and I love to sew and I also love to play with my two children! I am a work at home Mom of two toddlers.  I never planned on staying home with the kids, however when I was 8 and 1/2 months pregnant with my first child, Little Dude, I was unexpectedly let go from my corporate job.  With a newborn and a tough job market, I decided to buy a Brother Sewing/Embroidery Machine and taught myself to sew. I would like to thank the many bloggers, youtube videos I have watched and PDF pattern designers for all their help. With a degree in International Business from Blaise-Pascal University in France I decided to open my own business, an Etsy shop.  I started making baby leg warmers and then added embroidered bodysuits.  I was so busy I couldn't keep up and had to seek out third party help. After my second child, Baby Girl, life became super busy.  There is something about little girls clothes that makes them so much fun to create.  I started venturing out to more articles of clothing.  It has been a fun adventure. I am learning as I go.  I sometimes skip steps or take short cuts, sometimes I take a long road to get where I need to go.  I don't think sewing needs to be perfect, I think it should be fun!!
