Can you believe how fast summer went?  I cannot; it went too quickly for me.  I really had a lot of fun with the kids this summer and I really cannot believe my son is now off to kindergarten this year.  Where has the time gone?  Now that we are mid August, it is time to start thinking about Halloween!  We love Halloween in our house! In fact, when I showed Baby Girl her new shirt this morning Made with Little Lady Bug Halloween Bokeh fabric, she said, “Me wear it!”  Even after the pictures she insisted on wearing it to the gym.  Everyone loved it!

Little Girls Bokeh Halloween Fabric

The fabric is black with orange pumpkins and little sparkle bokehs.  Its perfect for little girls.   Sometimes is difficult to find Halloween fabric for girls.  Many times there are only boy options.  I made Baby Girl a Spice Cake top by Patterns for Pirates. The sleeves are an orange metallic knit I had in my fabric stash.  I believe I bought it from Miss Nancy on Etsy.  My husband always tries to have me get rid of my stash, but you never know when you might need the fabric.

Custom Halloween Bokeh Fabric for girls, Pumpkins and Sparkles

Do these two fabrics not look like they were meant to go together?  I may have to make a matching Pumpkin Spice Dolman for myself!  Because you know, we like to match! Let us also talk about this beautiful weather.  June was so hot there was nothing to do outside but swim in a pool, now in August is having some beautiful weather.  She would have been miserable in this outfit in June, but today she was fine, at least in the morning.

It was so gorgeous this morning Baby Girl and I played outside for a couple hours after Little Dude went off to school.  We miss him lots during the day.  Only a couple more hours till he is home :)!  I know some parents are excited to send their schools off to school, but I miss Little Dude, he really is a joy to be around.  He is also an amazing big brother.  I thought Baby Girl would be distraught during the day without him, however she seems to be enjoying the one on one time with Mommy.  🙂  Well most of the time.  She does not always enjoy me taking pictures of her….

2 going on 13

Just look at that face!!  2 going on 13 right there!!  I love her little attitude.  This girls knows what she wants and what she does not want.  Instead of posing for the camera I find, when I just let her play, I get the better photos.  The staged sessions do not work well with her.  I do end up with a lot of back pictures though, but you want to see the back of the outfit as well, right?

Little Girls Sparkly Halloween Outfit

Love this outfit!  I already have a pair of matching pants to hers, now I need to make myself the matching top.  Now I did not get completely left out.  I did have some fun ombre damask Halloween fabric for myself!

Halloween Ombre Damask Fabric

The fabric is called Demon Damask.  I am wearing an orange shirt, so it reflected a little orange onto the fabric.  The fabric is a brown/gold color.  I used the Capri length Patterns for Pirates Peg Leg Pattern.  They also have a gold spider web fabric I must have for Little dude.  Hurry and grab these Little Lady Bug Halloween fabrics on preorder today!  You can buy them here.

About Seams Sew Lo 173 Articles
Hi I'm Lo and I love to sew and I also love to play with my two children! I am a work at home Mom of two toddlers.  I never planned on staying home with the kids, however when I was 8 and 1/2 months pregnant with my first child, Little Dude, I was unexpectedly let go from my corporate job.  With a newborn and a tough job market, I decided to buy a Brother Sewing/Embroidery Machine and taught myself to sew. I would like to thank the many bloggers, youtube videos I have watched and PDF pattern designers for all their help. With a degree in International Business from Blaise-Pascal University in France I decided to open my own business, an Etsy shop.  I started making baby leg warmers and then added embroidered bodysuits.  I was so busy I couldn't keep up and had to seek out third party help. After my second child, Baby Girl, life became super busy.  There is something about little girls clothes that makes them so much fun to create.  I started venturing out to more articles of clothing.  It has been a fun adventure. I am learning as I go.  I sometimes skip steps or take short cuts, sometimes I take a long road to get where I need to go.  I don't think sewing needs to be perfect, I think it should be fun!!
