Today is school picture day for Little Dude. I usually just buy him a button down shirt and it always ends up being plaid… I did no think I had enough time to make him a button down shirt. So I went to the store to bought him 3 different plaid button down options, however my husband dislike all of them!! I thought they were cute, what do you think?

So since this was yesterday and school picture day is today, I had to think quickly. I decided to cut into some of my gorgeous sweater knit from Sincerely Rylee. I have purchased a few color palette mystery boxes from Sincerely Rylee, however they have all been so pretty and fabulous, I have not been able to bring myself to cut into any of it yet. I mean just look at all this gorgeous fabric, how do you cut into it?

I had already planned to make Little Dude a sweater out of the blue sweater knit, so I went ahead and went for it. I used the Jolly Roger Raglan by Patterns for Pirates (It is currently on sale for 30% off till Oct 4th, find the coupon code here.)

I had already made his pants this summer; they are the Boys Classic Pants Pattern by Seamingly Smitten. My husband ended up loving the sweater and so did my son. My son said “It is so soft!!.” Now my husband wants me to use the rest of the blue sweater knit to make him a sweater too. He has never asked me to make him anything before, so I consider that a WIN! Well except I wanted some blue sweater knit for myself too. LOL! Good thing Sincerely Rylee is running a sweater knit color palette sale again TONIGHT (find it here), because I am going to need some more!! Now hopefully school will take better pictures than I did. This was a quick, we have only a couple of minutes before the bus gets here pictures. If you have any recommendations for a men’s raglan/sweater pattern, please leave me a comment below.

After my second child, Baby Girl, life became super busy. There is something about little girls clothes that makes them so much fun to create. I started venturing out to more articles of clothing. It has been a fun adventure. I am learning as I go. I sometimes skip steps or take short cuts, sometimes I take a long road to get where I need to go. I don't think sewing needs to be perfect, I think it should be fun!!
